오늘은 일상생활 속에서 자주 시용되는 문법을 하나 배워볼까해요. 
Today, we are going to learn a grammar that is often used in everyday life.

* Vern stem + 아/어/해 본 적이 있다 (없다)

과거의 무언가를 시도한 경험의 유무를 물어볼 때 쓰는 표현이에요. 
Which means to have the experience of having tried something. 

예를 들어 볼게요. Let me give you a few examples.
- 가다 to go / 가 +(아)본 적이 있다 have been to
- 먹다 to eat / 먹+어 본 적이 있다  have tried
- 사용하다  to use / 사용+해 본 적이 있다  have used 
- 만나다 to meet / 만나+ (아)본 적이 있다 have met 

- 가다 to go / 가+본 적이 없다 have never been to 
- 먹다 to eat / 먹+어 본적이 없다 have never tried 
- 사용하다  to use / 사용+해 본적이 없다  have never used
- 만나다  to meet / 만나 +(아) 본 적이 없다 have never met 

- 저는 미국에 가 본 적이 있어요. I have been  to the U.S. 
- 한국 음식을 먹어 본 적이 없어요. I’ve never tried Korean food. 

그럼 짧은 대화를 통해서 이 표현이 어떻게 쓰이는지 들어볼까요?

1) 
A 어제 명동에서 연예인을 만났어요.   Yesterday, I met a celebrity in Myeongdong. 
B 와， 난 지금까지 한 번도 연예인을 만난 적이 없어요.  Wow, I’ ve never met a celebrity.  

2)
A 시장에서 물건 값을 잘 깎아요? Can you bargain well at the market? 
B 아니요， 깎아 본 적이 없어요. No, I’ve never been able to bargain. 

어땠나요?  어렵지 않죠?  그럼 아래의 연습문제도 한번 해보시기 바랄게요. 

1. Have you seen this guy before? (to see = 보다, this guy = 이 남자) 
2. Have you attended before? (to attend 참석하다)
