みなさんは「お疲れ様です」という言葉を聞いたことがありますか？日本人はこの言葉をあいさつのように使います。仕事が終わって帰る時に同僚に言うことが多いですが、何かをやり終えた人に対しても言います。
先週末は日本語能力試験-JLPTの日でした。私の生徒さんの中にも受けた人がいます。私はJLPTを受けた人全員に「お疲れ様でした。」と言いたいです。できたという人もできなかったという人もいると思いますが、まずはテストを受けるためにがんばって勉強してきた自分をほめてあげてください。テストのためにたくさん勉強してきたので、もう勉強したくないという人もいるかもしれません。そういう人はまた勉強したくなる日まで、日本語のマンガやアニメ、ドラマなどを見ながらなるべく日本語に触れる時間を作ってください。そうすれば今の日本語のレベルをしばらく保てると思います。日本語に全く触れなくなると、せっかくJLPTのために覚えた知識が消えてしまって、テストを受けた時のレベルまで戻るのに時間がかかるかもしれません。
テストは終わったけど勉強したいという人はJLPTのために覚えたことを会話の中でも使えるように練習するのが効果的だと思います。今は会話のレベルを上げるチャンスだと思います。
テストが終わったから勉強をやめるというのは絶対にやめて下さい。せっかくの努力がむだになってしまいます。少し休んでからでもいいので、勉強したことを忘れないうちにまた始めて下さい。
最後にテストに合格するかどうかはあまり大事なことではないと思います。JLPTを受けるために勉強したことを会話や生活の中で使えることの方がもっと大事なことだと思います。
