こんにちは！
Japanese daily life podcast のAtsushiです。
このPodcastは、日本語を勉強しているみなさんに向けたPodcastです。

今回は、ベルリンの話です。

なんとか無事にベルリンに着きました！
フランクフルトから、4時間ちょっとかかって着きました。

ベルリンはドイツの首都ですね。
第二次世界大戦などの歴史の跡も色濃く残っていますね。
ということで、このPodcastでは、僕たちが見て回った歴史的な場所の話をします。

ホロコースト記念碑や、ベルリンの壁も残っています。冷戦時代にはベルリンは東西に分裂していました。40代以上の人たちは、テレビでベルリンの壁を壊している映像を見た人も多いと思います。そういう場所に自分が旅行でこれるとは考えていませんでした。


2019年の人口は 360万人ぐらい、ということで、日本だと横浜市が375万人ぐらいみたいなので、同じぐらいの人口、ということですね。

今回僕たちは歩いて街を見てまわりました。

を見ました。

国会議事堂は1890年代に建設されました。第二次世界大戦では被害を受けましたが、修繕されました。1990年代には東西のドイツ統一以降、現在の使い方がされているようです。

ブランデンブルク門は、1788年に建てられた門です。現在13ある門の1つですが、有名で人気があるようです。当初は関税の場所だったようですが、今は観光名所の1つとなっています。

ホロコースト記念碑は、2005年の建築物です。大小2,711本のコンクリートの柱があります。地下には展示室もあり、歴史と、そこに巻き込まれたたくさんの人のストーリーがありました。

ベルリンの壁は、1961年から1989年までの28年間、155キロメートルの長い、厚いコンクリートの壁がありました。ドイツとベルリンを2つにわけていた壁でした。ここでも当時の西と東の生活の違いのことなどが学べました。

いろんな歴史があったことを受け止めて、残し、前に進むような姿勢を感じました。

とはいえ、結構歩いたので疲れました！
たくさんの人が歴史的な建築物を見ている人が多かったです。世界の人にとっても、大切な場所と感じました。今回、行けてよかったです。
