From the Longman Dictionary: (work somebody up) to make someone very angry, excited, or upset about something When I read this definition, I felt it was similar to 'wind someone up.' Do they have nuances? I believe every family with more than two siblings have the same problem. 1. They can't stop winding each other up. 2. They can't stop working each other up.
