We are deeply saddened to learn that Moses Monweal McCormick, aka 老鼠, has passed away. He was a talented linguist, a global ambassador to language learning, who was passionate about sharing his knowledge of language with everyone. Moses was one of the pioneers who published language learning videos on YouTube and became a positive influence to many language enthusiasts around the world. Moses was different from other polyglots in that he was never afraid to speak with strangers in hopes of bringing the world closer together through languages. He learned over 100 languages to a conversational level in order to have small talk with people of different cultures. The passion and energy he displayed were second to none. Moses has inspired millions around the world to learn new languages. We hope to echo for many how much we will miss him. RIP Moses. Hello everyone. Sorry for the loss. Some people think that when we lose someone, we lose them because of death and this is right, but the actual loss is when we forget them, when we stop doing what they added to our lives. Remember that they were here & there to help and encourage you to reach your goals. Success is a chain; each link is linked to the next one, so don't be the weak link. We NEED EVERYONE.

This is so sad, I was inspired by Moses. Moses is the reason why I am striving not only to learn Portuguese but also Italian. You are now with God and your spirit lives on. Respect my brother

Moses was a global ambassador of light. He showed us the magical powers of how language brings people together. He loved languages but more importantly he loved people - all people regardless of what language you spoke, where you came from, how you looked... he loved the connection that language brought. His videos enthralled and mesmerized viewers because he was able to capture these magical moments. Always positive, his videos celebrate how languages unite us and show that if we take just a little time to understand one another, good things will happen. If there is anything I take from his passing is that I should be more like Moses in my everyday interactions with people. Everyone has their own story, their own language and if you just take the time to connect and understand someone else a little bit more... you can do your own part in making the world a better place. The last thing that I realized was that Moses grew up in Akron, Ohio... it's basically my hometown as well. RIP Moses McCormick. You will be missed.

I am sad to hear of his passing. Moses was one of the language focused youtubers that inspired me to get back into language learning. I was not confident that I would be able to learn a language but after seeing him master so many, he made me realize that anyone could do it with determination and dedication. You will be greatly missed Laoshu
