The Tim じぁん!!!
It’s sunny today. Due to the current situation, Mom has become increasingly concerned about our health. After my allergy diagnosis, it’s Dad’s turn. Alas, the doctor scanned out a cyst on his liver, which literally scared poop out of him. Well, in Chinese, very few people can tell the difference between a cyst and a tumor. No wonder he thought he was going to die before the doctor finally had the time to explain it to him. Anyway, it’s basically nothing to worry about. I think this is why many people refuse to do health check-ups regularly. It can be pretty scary sometimes. You need a strong heart.

The idiom is “scare the crap out of someone.” Maybe you already know that and came up with your own version. 🙂 The word “crap” isn’t too offensive (in fact, my grandma says it) but your version also works, and sounds cute. The idiom is figurative, not literal, so when you say “literally,” that means he actually pooped when the doctor told him the news! Hopefully that’s not the case.

Good that it’s not serious.
