I have always wondered why I still can't speak Thai well after learning it for quite a while now. So, I've tried to find the reason why I am still bad at speaking Thai. After a few days of thinking, I realized it is not that I can't speak Thai well, it is just I can't speak well in general. Even though I try to speak in English or my native language, I'm still struggling very hard. I think my problem is I'm not good at expressing myself that much maybe because I hardly talk to anyone in my everyday life. When a teacher or someone asks me a question, I will go blank like I don't know how to answer that simple question like "what is your favorite food?" or "what do you do in your free time?". All I can answer is "I don't know", "I don't remember" or " I don't think I have one" because of these short answers the conversation when downhill. It just gets more awkward and useless because all I do is wait for my teacher to ask me a new question again.

Hi Hasya, I can help you improve! I used to be quite tongue-tied as well. It is something you can change. Feel free to contact me and all the best :)

How about shifting the focus to listening?
The reason you don’t speak much is that you don’t know enough words to hold a conversation or just respond to simple questions. By practising listening, you will keep hearing the same words that people use. That's how you learn it (at least it works for me and my students too).
After hearing it several times, it's now time to speak it aloud.
That’s how we were all able to speak when we were kids. By imitating!!
