Checking online, one definition is 'amenable', which is perhaps similar to 'easy to understand', which would fit with the other two words.

I think it's a "scanno," a scanning error. The word "pretty" makes sense here, the word "prêt" does not. I don't think I can post a URL here, but a Google search on "bacon neat pretty weighty" turns up a Baidu hit containing the word "pretty" spelled out. In both the UK and the US, French is one of the most popular second languages to study, and a fair number of French words and phrases are common in English--such as "au revoir," "bon appetit," "merci," "chic." But "prêt" isn't one of them. I didn't know what it meant until I looked it up. And the tone doesn't match the context.

Pret means ready in French! There’s a chain of fast casual restaurants called ‘Pret a Manger’ which means Ready to Eat!

It’s French. The convention when using uncommon foreign words is to italicize them.

Yes, I think you are right that this is a borrowed French word. "Pret" in English means "ready" which here I guess means "easy to read" "ready to be read" or something like that? It isn't terribly clear (to me anyway), but as you say "neat" and "weighty" probably say all that needs to be said.
