The Japanese K-pop act Yukika has signed with UBUNTU Entertainment, the talent agency recently founded by her former manager.
“We’ve struck an exclusive contract with the artist based on our deep mutual trust,” UBUNTU Ent. said in a statement today. “We will fully support and watch her grow into an all-round entertainer.”
Before signing the contract, Yukika had received numerous offers from other labels upon the end of her contract with her former agency, ESTIMATE Entertainment, in November.
Debuting as a member of the girl band Real Girls Project in 2016, the 27-year-old Japanese singer has been beloved for her unique pure, elegant voice. In particular, Her latest album “Soul Lady,” released in July, topped the iTunes Top K-pop Album Charts in eight different countries, including the U.S. and U.K. In addition, the album was named one of “The 10 Best K-Pop Albums of 2020” published by Billboard this month.
