Yo = I Soy = I am Then 🤔 "Yo soy" means "I I am", the answer it's not it's completely superfluous, but sometimes we include this redundant pronun to add emphasis for example: "Soy el mejor" "Yo soy el mejor"

Both are ok. Hi, I'm a spanish speaker, and it is completely acceptable to use both of them. We usually use "yo soy" to emphasize the noun "yo". It's the same with the others. If you wanna know more, text me back 😊
