There is not a worm we tread upon, nor a leaf that dances merrily as it falls before the autumn wind, but calls for our study and admiration. what does the sentence above mean?

It is poetically telling the reader that we must appreciate and admire even the smallest things such as a leaf floating in the breeze, and even a worm. When I am reading it, though, it feels like there is something missing after "autumn wind."
