Dashing up and over the monster’s foot, toward the front of the store, I spot what I came for. . . . What does "up and over" mean in this context?

I imagine this is no regular foot; it sounds much larger than the subject. So to get over the foot, the subject must first go up. Simply, the subject dashed up the foot; then, the subject dashed over the foot.
