Well, I do believe it is highly contingent upon your attitude to current technology while you are getting alone with somebody. It is surely not polite to concentrate on your cell phone all the time when you are dating or out with somebody.

Nonetheless, you can take advantage of technology to know more and more people in the world who you was impossible to know. That is the power of current IT that brings you. So, do not blame the existence of IT and just utilize the state-of-art technology to make your life better.

Technology is neutral, while people are frequently biased .

Technology has its advantages and makes life easier especially those you has high powered jobs. Personally, I find it convenient.  It is certainly not polite to continuously look at your phone if you are out with someone.  It happened to me once and I gave him a dirty look and asked "are you with me or not?"
