don,t store the words only but put it in sentences that will help you

I think you should practice with the new words in order to make it easier to learn them. If you use the word with an example related to a daily life situation(for your context) it'll be more meaninful.

English is my native language, but when learning a foreign language, I always try going about my daily life and mentally translating everything into that language. I have always found that to be useful.

I think that's is very difficult to memorize new words by reading and repeating till they're "fixed" in your brain. There's a tip: Do whatever you do, but do it in english. If your gonna watch a movie or a tv show, put it in english. And slowly those words will be part of your vocab.

It's a very old tip, but I still think that it's the best one.
