I think learning listening to others is absolutely a good way to show your respect  and good manner,too

To be able to listen to people is a great quality, Martin. But not only to learn something from them,  but also people just need someone to listen to them. Sometimes , if we want to really help others, instead of incouraging,  we have to just shut up and listen.
