How do you usually say magnetic resonance?
Hello!
What is more natural way of speaking about a nuclear magnetic resonance (medical use). For instance "I need a ____ of my knee"
1 Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
2 Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR)
3 Magnetic Resonance (MR)
Thanks in advance

Dan is correct... the correct preposition is "of", although I have heard 'on' used.

In the United States, we customarily use the initialism, MRI. Many people probably don't even know that it stands for "magnetic resonance imaging." I would say "I need to have an MRI of my knee."
I use an rather than a because "MRI," when spoken aloud, begins with a vowel sound.
I can't explain why I say "of my knee" when Richard suggests "on my knee." Both are possible.
