Nooooo..."Cien años de soledad" is a very complicated book, even in paper. You will need a lot of patience and calm to read it and to follow the plot.

I'd recommend "Cronica de una muerte anunciada" written also by Garcia Marquez. It's a very short book and the plot is easy, as the title says it's a chronicle of an announced murder.
