Familiar situation, right?

You start learning a foreign language.

You practice for days, months, years.

You meet a native speaker.

You formulate the first sentence ideally in your mind.

You polish all the possible mistakes, replace some words.

You say the first sentence you formed.

And you don't understand more than 2-3 words in their answer.

What language are you referring to? English?  Because if so, I can help you, maybe you just need it to be spoken slow. it happens, don;t worry about it. YOu know it, just need practice training your ear, not your mind

ha!!   yes!!!   I have experienced this hundreds of times.    This can be very frustrating- it really motivates me to find things for listening practice.     When this happens it feels sometimes like I have wasted my time with all of the studying,  but when I do eventually start to understand what the native speakers are saying (after a long time)  it makes it more worthwhile.     language learning is high hanging fruit.  keep on going with your learning!

Make momery to basic word , that is the first hard term . -- "What the heck , how anybody momery this !?"

Using basic word , catch a lot of step-in word , that is the second hard term . -- "Are you kidding me?! New word , new word , endless new word !!"

Third term : How they put those word together , huh? They really did it !!
