Don't use the word «рысак», this one means «quick horse». «Шлепок» does not fit for a rocket launcher too, I think, because a rocket is a strong and destructive weapon, and «шлепок» doesn't «sound» properly as a general action of a spanker, if we talk about a spanker as a serious weapon for a kill, I mean it doesn't «detonate» like a rocket to. I think you'd better use the word «хлыст» (it sounds like near «khlist») – a whip. A whip – хлыст – can spanks too, and the word «хлыст» can «shoot» in Russian like a rocket launcher.

With what's on the rocket launcher, it doesn't reference a rocket being destructive, or even that it shoots explosives. "SPNKr" (Spanker) is more or less a joke. To try and explain it, it's that you "spanked" the enemy. It's why I'm trying to find words for "spank", "slap", or some similar such words.

Regarding my story, while I was searching for a direct parallel to "spank", it would work just as well, I suppose, to have Yakusheva (the soldier who owns the rocket) paint over "SPNKr" with "ХЛЫСТ", and say something to the effect that it's a better nickname as explanation. How would you all suggest the character explain it (in English) to an American soldier?
