Kalima( كلمة) which is a meaningful word in Arabic. It has three parts which are Noun, Verb and Harf. So our Part of speach consists of three parts. These are:
Noun ( ism): It is that word which does not need the help of another word to explain its meaning. It is the name of a person, a place or a thing.
Verb ( fi3l): It is that word by which we understand some work or action being done. It is of three kinds/ tenses:

1.The perfect tense, the Madi (الماضي) is used for an action which is completed, e.g. فعل (fa3ala) ‘he did’, كتب( kataba) he wrote.
notice: 3 = the sound ع in Arabic.
2. The imperfect tenses the Mudari3 ( المضارع) used when an action is not completed, e.g. يكتب ( yaktubu) ‘he writes/is writing/will write’,
