I love to eat Chinese food, but I often wonder how authentic it is - the owners of the restaurant that I prefer have been here in the States for many years and I wonder how much their dishes have changed over the years to accommodate their customers. I like to order cream cheese wontons for an appetizer, hot and sour soup, and for the main dish I prefer any type of chicken breast in a spicy sauce. Chicken lo mein is delicious, too, just not spicy like my other preferences. I also enjoy the vegetables that accompany the chicken dishes - they are always fresh and cooked just right. I would really like to try dumplings - many of my students were talking about eating dumplings for Spring Festival and they sounded so good!

All my life I have been obsessed with Chinese rice. I always spend a lot of time in the sauce section. Oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, fish sauce, Worcestershire, soy(dark, light, paste), chili oil, mushroom sauce, sesame oil. I just love Chinese umami broths. But my experience is very limited I never ate in an authentic Chinese restaurant but would love to.
