What are the animal sounds/onomatopoeia in your language? For example, in English:
Dog says bark/arf/woof/yip/bow-wow
Cat says meow
Horse says neigh
Cow says moo
Sheep says baa
Pig says oink
Donkey says hee-haw
Bird says cheep/tweet
Rooster says cock-a-doodle-doo
Frog says ribbit
Chicken says cluck
Duck says quack
Goose says honk
Turkey says gobble
Lion says roar
Cricket says chirp
Bee says buzz
Dove says coo
Snake says hiss
Mouse says squeak
Parrot says squawk
I'm not sure that all of these have Hungarian counterparts, but here are some of them:
Dog says vau
Cat says miáu
Horse says nyihaha
Cow says mú
Sheep says bee [ʙɛː]
Pig says röf
Donkey says i-á
Bird says csip/csirip [t͡ʃip/t͡ʃirip]
Rooster says kukurikú
Frog says brek
Duck says háp
Cricket says cirip [t͡sirip]
Some of them are surprisingly similar.
To my ears, 'woof' sounds more realistic, but 'cock-a-doodle-doo', what they were even thinking:D
