The moment you open Google and some of your favorite apps, you will see a lot of products pop up. Products that range from laundry detergent to mobile phones, to some unknown products and some well-known. To say it bluntly, "marketing is everywhere". A product can have good quality but if it is not known then who would try it? Why do you think brands like Apple, Coca-Cola and Nike withstood the test of time?
It is because despite being famous, they continue their marketing strategies.
I am not a stranger to marketing as I have worked in the sales department before I acquired a career in teaching.
I have to convince a buyer to purchase a product that they probably don't need. One good method is the packaging of a product. A product that has good package can entice more buyers. It is the same with people, it is something that I learned from my experiences.
The marketing strategies in one country can differ from another. In the Philippines, we are "digital", we prefer watching YouTube because most people are at work and barely have the time to watch TV. It is more advisable for companies to advertise their products on Instagram and YouTube. The companies choose a type of face that appeals to the masses. Marketing concepts is not easy and it takes a team of people to "brainstorm".
Initially, we are attracted to "what glitters". We attracted to something that has good personality, someone charismatic and someone perceived as great. Sometimes we have great expectations of products and people.
To be honest, I rarely used branded items with good marketing campaign because I know from experience that a good product means that a good product for one person is not suitable for another.Companies entice people to buy a product and it is the same aspect for teachers like me. Marketing is everywhere, how your phone looks like is already a marketing campaign because you bought it for a reason.

That's true! And now it's easy for people to showcase there talent and product to people through various social media like Instagram, FB, LinkedIn etc. People are now spending more hours watching YT then TV, so one need not have to try hard for advertising their products and services. However, the market is getting competitive due to the large influx of same kind of product and service. In that case, the products and services which are standing out follow unique and different strategy than their counterparts.
