Do teachers need a break between sessions? Why not start at 5 mins past the hour and run only for 50 mins?
Lessons scheduled on Italki seem to be offered only in 30 or 60 slots starting on the hour or half hour. This means that teachers might not get a break between sessions. That's fine for the lucky student who is first in the day, but not so great for the student who is the last. Can any teacher be as patient and enthusiastic after 3 solid hours tutoring as she was at the beginning?

Italki needs to change the way they do scheduling to ensure that teachers get a 10 min break between sessions. For example, default to lessons starting at 5 mins past the hour and running only for 50 mins. They also need to encourage teachers to take a short break between lessons.

It is indeed a problem. The break is not only important for me but also for the next student I'm having a lesson with. I don't wanna jump from one student to another so I offer 55 min lessons but it's not natural to end a conversation in the middle of the sentence and also I think it's not fair to my students. I try to schedule my lessons with 30 min breaks in between but... 30 min is too long and 5 min is too short. There should be 15 min breaks. I think that every teacher and every community tutor would agree.
