Diego
Does my name have a meaning in a specific language? Is my name a verb, adjective, noun, etc in other languages

My name is Diego, In spanish this word is only a name. It is not a verb, noun, adjective, adverb or anything else. It can only be used as a name, but many names have other uses not only as a name. So maybe my name is a word with a meaning in another language.

What is your name? maybe your name have a meaning in spanish. or maybe your name is a noun or adjective in another language. Please write your ideas about this topic.

Some examples in spanish:

Luz is a name, but it is also a noun in spanish, and it is translated to english as Light

Soledad is a name, but it is also a noun in spanish, and it is translated to english as Loneliness

Linda is a name, but it is also an adjective in spanish, (Pretty)

Do you know some examples, Even between other languages.

Lo siento mucho, pero no hay ningún significado para tu nombre en mi idioma nativo, que es serbio.

Sin embargo, mi nombre es Suzana (como es internacional, mi nombre en español es Susana). Entonces, el significado de mi nombre es: La mujer por la cual Dios lloró demasiado antes de su nacimiento / esa persona va a llorar toda la vida.

Me gusta mucho mi nombre :)

Hello handayani.risma you´re welcome, as you said above, you need a lot of practice and immerse yourself in your target language, that's I have been doing with english, Since spanish is a phonetic language I suggest you to listen a lot of spanish to get used to the spanish sounds rather than focusing on writing or reading (grammar rules, word lists, different tenses, conjugations) spanish grammar is more difficult than english grammar, but Spanish pronunciation is easier. An easy way to avoid the main problem of most spanish learners (conjugations, articles, strong pronunciation) is to focusing in listening to easy spanish as much as you can, learn many easy spanish phrases, don´t think to much about the names of the tenses or rules because Even I don´t know the names of that tenses but I can speak spanish without worried about what tense is the appropriate, I learnt grammar in a natural way by listening the same phrases in different tenses. Then when you will be able to speak in spanish easily without effort then you can focus on grammar to help you to improve and polish your writing. Don´t worry about mistakes even I make some mistakes in spanish no one is perfect. Thanks for writing here. have a nice day.
