Me and my brother against my cousins, me and my cousins against the stranger.

It's an Egyptian Arabic saying. I heard it in an English movie. but when i googled it, I found that there are a variety of shapes of it that differ from the original saying meaning and i am sure that it is not right at all.
I've seen "Me and my brother against my cousins, me and my cousins against the village, me and my village against the tribe, me and my tribe against the rest of the world.", Also "Me against my brothers, me and my brothers against my cousins, me and my brother and my cousins against the world".

Perhaps the above two sayings have been misrepresentated , I've never heard about them. but the right one is "Me and my brother against my cousins, me and my cousins against the stranger." that somewhat makes sense. and means "أنا وأخويا علي إبن عمي، أنا و إبن عمي علي الغريب" .

So, which one of the previous sayings is more familier to you?
and how do you agree with its meaning?
