I'm making a plan of 10-day travelling in Japan on September.
I would like to do some things as written below in the travel:
1. Visit one or two cities, plus some characteristic villeges;
2. Learn local culture from local people;
3. Eat nice food with nice price;
4. See some festival there;
5. Do some shopping .
PS: This will be my first visit to Japan, and I can't speak Japanese. Would you please give me some advices on communication and what we should take care of ?

Kyoto ,Tokyo or Osaka
If villedge, 白川郷 is famous , but it is pretty sure that local people cannot English and Chinese.
2. Learn local culture from local people;
In kyoto, you can try Geisya , Sadou , local temple and food
3. Eat nice food with nice price;
If Kyoto, you can try Kaoseki food, if Tokyo , you can try Ramen or Soba
4. See some festival there;
