Partly that would depend on what learning style is best for you. If you are a visual learner then watching movies or seeing words with pictures may help. If your style is auditory, then listening to music and talking to people will be best. If your style is tactile, then you would best learn from doing an activity that is hands on while using english.
Hello Mandy,
I hope this message finds you well.
My name is Garry and am a Native speaker from Canada. I have taught in Singapore, mark business emails from Japan and teach online to China. I understand the problems facing the Chinese when learning English and, maybe, could learn a few more Chinese phrases from you.
I have added you on italki and hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely
Garry
Hi,
I think the best way is to have conversations with a native speaker and learn a lot of vocabulary. Then try to write sentences. Thank you, Vicky Rivera

Look over the song lyrics. They can be a way of practicing.
