One thing I wanted to clarify is asking questions in french.
Is it correct that when you say "Qu'est-ce que...?" that the answer can be a variety of different options but when you ask "Est-ce que....?" the answer will be yes/no (a bit more specfic).
Par example: Qu'est-ce que la couleure....? (many different answers)
Est-ce que tu as Styke? (yes or no)

Indeed Claudia, "qu'est-ce que" means "what" as in "qu'est-ce que tu aimes faire?" (what do you like to do?).
"Est-ce que" is like the english for "do/does" as in "est-ce que tu aimes faire du vélo" (do you like cycling?).

"Est-ce que" transforms a statement into a question. It can be translated to the English word, "do." Yes/no answers are, indeed, normally given in response.
