What about living abroad?

I always dreaming about living abroad, But there's some of fears I expect facing them, Firstly: People in the other country, They will be friendly or foreigners always find some brusqueness from others?, leaving your family or living away from them, Is that endurable?, Living abroad and fruition your dreams about living in a country that you liked to choose it for living in not a country you borned in it by chance deserves all those sacrifices?

It's hard to believe by reading the news, but the majority of people in the world are actually GOOD people! I'm sure wherever you decide to go, you'll find a community that respects and support you as a foreigner.

On the other hand, it doesn't mean that you'll find the exact same deep connections with people that you had on your home country. Specially if you're trying to adapt to a culture that is very different from yours. For example, for me it's easy to move to Argentina or Chile or Uruguay, but countries like Japan or Sweden could be a bit harder.

Leaving your family behind is always difficult, but in the end I think that it's one the most important things a person can do to grow: live abroad.

I lived abroad eight years ago, in Italy, that was the best experience that I've ever had. I learned a lot of things about me, and I noticed that I could take care of myself; that was, definitely, a great experience.

I lived there for nine months and, If I could go there I would do it again. I love travelling and, at every opportunity I have, I do it.

I'm sure that when you'll go abroad, you won't regret it.

It will be difficult, but it is a great experience.

Nothing will be familiar. From bus schedules to supermarket products everything will be different. Not by much, but enough to make you miss your comfort habits and get homesick.

You will also have to get accustomed to new rules for everything: renting a house, calculating utilities costs, monitoring and updating your legal documents, sending/receiving correspondence and parcels, getting licences for TV, dealing with employment laws etc etc

On the bright side, you will be anxious to get up every morning and see more of the new place. Tourist places will be easily accessible from within the country. You will find new ways to decorate your home, you will taste different dishes. You will probably try to cook them, too :) If you speak the language, you will make many friends. Most people are normal, nice and friendly.

After some time, you will look at your new life and see a combination of your roots and culture with those of the new country. It is a very interesting process, because it makes you think carefully about where you come from and it helps you discover all the hidden gems of your country and culture.
