Why is دخلتموها and خرجتم used here?

I was reading a Hadith and I would like to know your opinions on the wording. I have asked a few people and cannot get a definitive answer. Here is the narration 

(حديث مرفوع)  حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى  ، قَالَ : نا أَبُومُعَاوِيَةَ  ، قَالَ : نا الأَعْمَشُ  ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ  ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ  ،  عَنْ عَلِيٍّ  رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلا مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ عَلَى سَرِيَّةٍ ، وَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يُطِيعُوهُ ، فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ وَجَدَ عَلَيْهِمْ فِي شَيْءٍ ، فَقَالَ : أَلَيْسَ قَدْ أَمَرَكُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ تُطِيعُونِي ؟ قَالُوا : بَلَى ، قَالَ : فَاجْمَعُوا حَطَبًا ، فَجَمَعُوا حَطَبًا ، ثُمَّ دَعَا بِنَارٍ ، فَأَضْرَمَهَا فِي الْحَطَبِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : عَزَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ لَتَدْخُلُنَّهَا ، فَهَمَّ الْقَوْمُ بِذَلِكَ ، فَقَالَ لَهُمْ شَابٌّ مِنْ أَحْدَثِهِمْ : لا تَعْجَلُوا أَنْ تَدْخُلُوا النَّارَ ، فَإِنَّمَا فَرَرْتُمْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ النَّارِ ، حَتَّى تَأْتُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَإِنْ أَمَرَكُمْ أَنْ تَدْخُلُوا فَادْخُلُوا ، فَأَتَوُا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرُوا ذَلِكَ لَهُ ، فَقَالَ : " لَوْ دَخَلْتُمُوهَا مَا خَرَجْتُمْ مِنْهَا أَبَدًا " . وَهَذَا الْكَلامُ إِنَّمَا يُرْوَى عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَإِسْنَادُ حَدِيثِ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ إِسْنَادٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Would it be correct to say خرجتموها if I was to make a similar sentence today? I'm not talking about altering the Hadith.

I have done some research on this topic and found below link (in Arabic) :

The conclusion for this case is that دخل and خرج are both intransitive verbs and both can't have objects, however for, دخل there is a way to alter the adverbial clause that follows it by removing the preposition:

دخلنا بالبيت
دخلنا البيت
To make things more confusing, I couldn't find any defined rule on which verbs can be treated as دخل and which can not.. so, that's why we stick with what we know from old Arabic scripts (Qura'an, Hadeeth, proverbs, poetry ..etc.)

I don't think you can say خرجتموها

The verb دخل doesn't have to be followed by a preposition, but خرج is usually followed by من.

In Arabic we use the verb دخل followed by a direct object (without preposition)/ or a pronoun- when we are talking about places.
/  دخل البيت./ دخله    -  
دخل الغرفة - دخلها 
 في الحديث : دخلتموها  أي دخلتم النار و "ها" هنا تعود على  النار 
But we say :
دخل في حوار مع ....
دخل في غيبوبة.
The verb خرج is always followed by a preposition if we want to precise the place that somebody is leaving OR refer to it using a pronoun such as
خرج من المكتب. /  خرج منه.

No, خرجتموها is totally wrong, because this verb is transitive that needs a preposition which is here من, so we say خرجتم منها as in the Hadeeth. Unlike دخل which is intransitive so we directly say دخلتموها.

because ها in دخلتموها means دخلتم اليها -الى النار - ج

I mean when we talk about  entry something - الدخول - we use Preposition الى 

example : دخل خالد الى البيت

but when we talk about Exit from something we use Preposition من

example ; خرج خالد من البيت.

from means من

to means الى
