The history of internal combustion engines is more than 200 years old. In the last few centuries, people focused on the development of vehicles which made the whole world become a family. You can go anywhere within a 20 hours flight or you can easily travel between two cities with a car but haven't you thought about what to do with the gas-powered cars if one day we find another economic fuel to replace gas? Is it really worth developing internal combustion engines? Nokia phones disappeared all of a sudden due to the development of innovative systems, which makes me concerned/worried about the future of gas-powered cars. If one day, brands such as Volkswagen, Toyota, Audi and Hyundai disappear, would you feel sad? As more and more electric vehicles invade the streets, the disadvantages of gas-powered cars are becoming more and more obvious. Will gas-powered cars eventually be replaced by electric cars and will it become the hottest topic around the world? Is it necessary to continue developing internal combustion engines or should automobile manufacturers pay more attention to the development of batteries?
