Cindy, Thanks for the time and effort. If you comment or reply, please split up the sentence (hanzi) into word groups and if possible put in the pinyin. For tone markers, you can use the - / ~ \ keyboard symbols instead of Arabic numbers and put it in front of the word. Example: 我 ~wo NB: Your sentence above is translated by translate.google.com as 一个意境美好的晚上 >> a good night mood 你写得很有诗意 >> you write very poetic I want to learn to *speak* Chinese first with common expressions. Later I can learn to *read (and maybe write) hanzi* (characters). Speaking the language is first access. ^ ^
