Actually is the verb "ir". haha But the explanation is right. It's "fores" and not "vás" because it's future. :)

Don´t take for granted the fact that the word "sejam" can be both [IMPERATIVO AFIRMATIVO] and [Presente Do Subjuntivo], the case that you figured. The latter might be used on the poem. But the message would be slightly different.

"Forem" indicates an action towards the future. "Sejam" indicates an action that is performed now, in the present.
