People throw things away and buy new ones instead of repairing them and using again. Why? Problem? I have been practising ielts writing for about 1 week. The following question is a ielts writing topic. I write a essay then, help me to correct it plz. People throw things away and buy new ones instead of repairing them and using again. Why? Problem? In current society, individuals throwing the broken goods away instead of fixing them have given rise to great public concern. In this essay, I will analyse some possible causes and problems of this phenomenon. It is obvious that the causes of the issues are diverse. Priority should be given to the advanced standard of living due to the development of global economy. People have become increasingly affluent and wealthy, which lead them to pursue the comfy lifestyle with high quality equipment, service and etc. Also, the economic prosperity transforms individuals’ mentalities. They care about the material satisfaction too much but overlook their own psychological and emotional demand. In another word, people can only acquire enjoyment from getting new things, which is totally pathetic. In addition, throwing old things away and purchasing brand-new one has become a sweeping trend at present, with more and more humans following it as a fashion way impulsively. The problem of this situation can be felt on a variety of fronts. First of all, it would be less eco-friendly as the resources would be consumed overly, which is unbeneficial to the sustainable development. Even though the factory will profit from this market demand, they get the benefits at expense of discharging and contamination. Secondly, in terms of local economy, the strong demand for advanced goods would attract foreign investment, which poses a threat to the native economical environment. Apart from this, purchasing new things directly without enough consideration would cause negative effects on traditional culture about money-saving. To sum up, several factors contribute to buying new things without repairing. I am convinced that we should pay more attention on the problems until the negative impact be lessened.

People throw things away and buy new ones instead of repairing them and using again. Why? Is it a Pproblem?

In current society, individuals throwing the broken goods away instead of fixing them hasve given rise to great public concern. In this essay, I will analyzse some possible causes and problems of this phenomenon.

It is obvious that the causes of the issues are is diverse. Priority should be given to the advanced standard of living due to the development of global economy. [Rephrase, very wordy] People have become increasingly affluent and wealthy, which leads them to pursue the a comfy lifestyle with high quality equipment, and service and etc. Also, the e

Economic prosperity transforms an individuals’ mentalities [or can say ...transforms individual mentality]. They care about the material satisfaction too much and but overlook their own psychological and emotional demand [Vague, yo need to elaborate on this point or leave it out. It does not seem to make sense]. In another words, people can only acquire enjoyment from getting new things, which It is totally pathetic. In addition,

Factoriesy will profit from theis market demand, they get at the benefits at expense of the environment through waste dischargeing and contamination. Secondly, in terms of local economy, the strong demand for advanced goods would attracts foreign investment, which poses a threat to the native economical environment.

Apart from this, pPurchasing new things directly without enough consideration is a waste of money. would causes negative effects on traditional culture about money-saving. [Correct sentence, but you fail to give an example]

To sum up, several factors contribute to buying new things without repairing. I am convinced that we should pay more attention on the problems until the negative impact be lessened.

There are several reasons a person will decide to buy a replacement rather than repair it. The phenomenon is not something new. People must consider the impact of their waste and consider the long term effects of replacement versus repair.

You see things right, in the other hand, it is an economic concept comes from the US. I will explain it: companys is counting success in GDP. When people buy new things, the GDP grows. Here is the scam: as a company you must always have to convince people to buy new things, it is by designing products that have low lifetime or supply the market with new product. Advertising is a good opportunity (every new product is better, so your life will be better) to convince people. The company also counts, that disasters and war have a positive impact to selling and GDP, so companys can sell resources and war supply. This is another point of view of this topc.
