Cambridge IELTS 8. :) Test 3. Could you please help me, and correct my notes. The three pie charts compare changes which took place in annual school expenses in one of the UK schools in 1981, 1991 and 2001. As can be clearly seen from the given statistics, the spending on insurance rose constantly from 2% in 1981 to 8% in 2001. In contrast, expenditure on workers' salaries slumped marginally from 28% in 1981 to 22% in 1991, and it continued to decline to only 15% in 2001. Moreover, teachers’ salaries made up a significant proportion of total schools expenses in 1981, 1991 and 2000, hovering at around 25%. With regards to resource spending, it first grew by 5% and then declined to 9% in 2001. Furthermore, there was a three-fold increase in furniture and equipment expenses, accounting for 50% in 1981 and 5% in 1991. However, school spending on furniture in 2001 saw a dramatic increase of 23%. To conclude, it is clear that teachers' salaries had a crucial role in school spending in the all mentioned years. However, other costs either increased negligibly or declined substantially.

Excellent as usual Sarah. Although it native speakers do it frequently, adverbs should not separate verbs -- so, to be seen clearly, not "to be clearly seen".

[Excellent! You've done better than many native speakers could do.]
