(1) a) I was confused on how to really phrase; it's such a mess
b) "Shinzo no kodoo" is probaby
wrong I used a translator to help me express a "beating heart". So how can I write in Japanese phrases like a " moving car" or a "flying bird" etc
(2) a) how do use " like" or " as"
Here I wrote, "kaze no yoo ni" but I am not too sure, what I meant to write was "like the wind." For instance,
how can you write " I want to be like him" or "I wish to be a good singer like her" or "
b) what is the best way to express " I wished..."
(3) Can you a start phrase with " dakara" or how do you use "therefore" in a sentence.
The English version:
Hello everyone. Yesterday' s evening was an interesting and strange night. I felt the sorrow and the joy of being alive. I was grateful to my beating heart, and to the bright moon that lights up my darkness.
I missed my parents. I was envious of the wind; like the wind I wished I could be free and eternal.
Therefore, I vowed to absolutely protect my dreams. Dreams connect me to something more beautiful.

Questions:
(2) a) how do use " like" or " as"
Here I wrote, "kaze no yoo ni" but I am not too sure, what I meant to write was "like the wind." For instance, (right transletion)
" I want to be like him" "Kare-no youni naritai"
"I wish to be a good singer like her" "kanojo-no youni umaku utaetara ii-noni"
" I wished..." "...dekireba ii-noni" "...dekitara ii-noni"
(3) Can you a start phrase with " dakara" or how do you use "therefore" in a sentence.
Usually use "Dakara" but your sentence is literary. So I think you have better use "sore-yue-ni" "yue-ni" ,maybe.

こんにちは、皆さん。昨夜は、面白くも奇妙な夜でした。私は生きることの悲しみと喜びを感じました。私は心臓の鼓動と、私の闇を明るく照らす月の光に感謝しました。両親を恋しく思いました。
