Moonlight Over The Lotus Pond [Excellent translation!]
It is hot., I don't [single quote, not double] like staying outside. Now the lotuses are blooming and I have been looking forward to appreciate enjoy their beauty but I am afraid of the fiery sun. When the sun has seted [the past and participle tenses are the same, "set"] I come went to the lotus pond. A full moon mirrored in the lake, [or "on the lake surface"] the lotuses, the leaves, and the moonlight made completed the picture.
Leaves are whirling in the wind.
Lotuses are graceful on the water.
Swimming fish rouse the golden wave.
To and fro, the wind dancing with the lotus leaves,
Out of the water, lotus shadows so delicate.
Fishes swiming by, in the heart of the lake,
Alarmed by the broken moon in its golden waves.
Great poem!
