Report on sports facilities in our town In my survey, I have inquired the local inhabitants about the current sports facilities in our town. I have questioned people of various age categories and devised a solution by assessing the popular opinion. The first topic surveyed was the overall popularity of various sports. People were asked which sports they preferred and how often they were doing their sports. The by far most popular sport is football, with incredible 7% of people questioned confirming that they do this sport at least once a week. The runner-up is volleyball with the respectable 4% and the third ranked tennis with 3,5%. Some other popular sports include basketball (2%), floorball (1,2%) and baseball (1%). In total, 39% of people interviewed do some sport at least once a week. Shockingly, only 38% of the physically active are satisfied with the current state of our facilities. To put things into perspective, 59% of people who took the survey, i.e., 1839 citizens, have a very negative opinion of the town facilities. Moreover, the most highlighted faults are: insufficient upkeep of the facility (68%), no benches to sit on (21%) and unfriendly staff (7%). The most inquisitous facility on the list is the baseball stadium. 54% people replied that they are afraid to enter the tribunes in fear of them collapsing down all of a sudden. In general, the results of my research are very negative and some steps really need to be taken in order to improve the quality of our facilities. We should consider building a proper football field considering the incredible demand for it. We should also reconstruct the tribunes of our aging baseball stadium asap. More staff should be hired to look after the facilities and some benches should be installed to the volleyball field.
