No one can deny that installing cameras in public places has both merits and demerits, in this essay I will try to discuss the both arguments.
Firstly, let's talk about the positive sides of installing cameras in public places, no doubt that people will feel more safe if they find themselves under the monitoring of these cameras, for example installing cameras in retail shops, malls, or in a governmental places will make criminals think twice before committing any offense. In addition, the normal people's attitude will change if they know that everybody is being monitored.
Secondly, people might install these cameras in front of their houses to prevent burglary, as this camera is directly connected to a police station.
On the other hand the authorities responsible for installing such new monitoring systems ought to install these cameras in a proper location, for instance installing this cameras inside a fitting room to prevent stealing the clothes is an inappropriate action, however, if the owner of the shop wants to protect his goods he might add another security system except for any type of system which might breach the individual privacy.
In conclusion, even personal privacy is dispensable, but people's security and their property are more important.
