writing task 2 16/9/15
Being a celebrity- such as a movie star or professional athlete- brings problems as a well as benefits.
Do you think that being a celebrity brings has more benefits or drawbacks?
Famous people like film actors and actresses or elite sportsmen and sportswomen, have worries too even though they have ( more )privileges because of their social status.
In my opinion, the advantages of being a well known person, such as having a greater income and public admiration, outnumber the disadvantages. In this essay , I will reveal why I think being a celebrity is better than not being one and how I come to a conclusion.
Firstly, it must be highlighted that famous people earn more money(than us) that allow them to live with better comfort. For instance, every Real Madrid player lives in a house with six or more rooms, according to the sports newspaper,Marca. However to be so wealthy can make these people incapable of valuing money, leading to them spending money unnecessarily on stupid things.
Moreover, media and sport stars know how it feels like to have a lot of supporters and fans , and they can count on them in good or bad times. For example, tennis player Nadla stated recently in a TV interview that whenever he lost a match, his faithfull fans would always cheered him up with social media messages. Sometimes, however, the admiration of some of these people for a celebrity can quickly change to dislike of him or her , so famous people dont expect them to be their supporters forever.
In conclusion. the benefits like bigger salaries and admiration from masses more than compensate for the drawbacks.
