I'm living/having a great experience in Albany, NY

I'm living in Albany (NY) for four weeks because my girlfriend studies at UAlbany. I graduated two months ago and I'm starting to work on January the 7th so and  I took advantage of these free month to live and study in the US. The first week was very complicated because I had difficulty to understand understanding also even a basic conversations.
I have started studying English with my tutor, here in Albany and after three weeks I'm feeling more comfortable and I'm starting to understand and to made me understand (non ho capito. Forse: ...and to be understood?), although with some difficulty.
I find it more difficult to use and put in practice the grammar rules. Instead, I'm improving quickly quickly improving my understanding and exposure. I have a lot of work to do but I'm excited to improve and understand another language.
I have another three weeks to immerse myself in the study and I'll spend all the Christmas holiday in Saratoga Spring at my friend's house.
It'll be an excellent situation to practice English and to meet new beautiful people. (Ma le persone italiane sono piu belle :D :D )
