In your English class you have been doing a project on young people and their health in your country. Your teacher has asked you to write your response to the following statement taken from a recent newspaper article:
Research shows that young people today are not as healthy as they were twenty years ago. Why is this and can we do anything about it?
Nowadays, young people are not so healthy as in the past due to they usually have an unhealthy diet and they don’t worry about their health. Recently, I read an article written by a well-known doctor and he explained the poor diet of the young people at present.
First, I would like to explain my reasons regarding why I agree with that idea. Many teenagers often eat fast food in famous restaurants such as “McDonald’s or Burgen King” instead of they eat health food like fruits and vegetables.
In spite of this, currently young people usually play any sport in their free time. However, twenty years ago teenagers didn’t practise sports as at present.
All in all, if you have children you should teach them how to eat to be healthy.
