Yekaterinodar Today want to talk about one of the best cities in South of Russia, about Krasnodar. It's a young town with an interesting history. It named Yekaterinodar before the civil war in 1920. One of the most important place in Krasnodar is Krasnaya street. You can see almost all history of the city if you walk on it. One of the my favorite monuments on this street is monument of Yekaterina II the Great. On the front of this monument you can see the carter. The text on the charter means that the Empress of Russia Yekaterina II took the part of south Russia to cossacks like a gift and cossacks must guard this land. On the top of this monument you can see Yekaterina II the Great. There are 3 cossacks on the right belong. They got the carter in St. Petersburg on a meeting with Yekaterina and they were the most important and famous cossacks in that time. On the left belong, you can see prince Potemkin. He recommended Yekaterina to take these lands to cossack. I think that these people are the most important people in history of the city.
