Which one is correct? Hi, I know adverbs have different positions in a sentence, so I want to know if the following sentences are correct, of something is missing or not and if there mote than one correct option. I'll write the adverb in capitals just to highlight the position. I USUALLY go with my family to cinema on Saturday. I USUALLY go to cinema with my family on Saturday. I go USUALLY to cinema with my family on Saturday. USUALLY, I go to cinema with my family. I read that "go to cinema" and "go to the cinema" are correct, the difference is the 1st is general (not specifying a cinema) and the second one is when which cinema you are talking about is known. But I'm still not sure about it... Thanks in advance everyone

Hi Ana. Except for your third sentence, as to the adverb placement, the others are fine.* The adverb "usually" typically goes at the beginning or the end of a sentence. As to the third sentence, we place the adverb AFTER the BE verb (in this case, the word "go"). *Finally, "go to cinema" is not correct, you need to put an article, either "a" or "the" before it for the sentence to be grammatically correct (as both you and Rachael alluded to ...) The adverb position for all of them works. The most natural for me would be putting "Usually" first.

Also i think you're getting confused between "a cinema" ans "the cinema"

I am going to go to a cinema ( you havent specified what cinema you are going to, could be any)

I am going to the cinema ( once again you havent specified what cinema you are going to, but most likely talking about a cinema that both people are aware of)
