Chapter 1 - At the end of the day (1) Yvi moved his first steps unsure of where to head to, that world was so unfumiliar he had no idea where to go. It did not mattered how deeply tangled to that world he was, his gaze moved from the hollow left from the drained water, to the golden and esmerald fields, and finally to the deep obscure forest; nothing of that gave him a sensation of familiarity. Actually he had been there a couple of times before, he knew that as a magician his duty was to keep balanced and to protect both the human and the spirit's wolrd, but he did not like that place. In his memory everithing was happier and more crowded, so where were all the spirits? Were they afraid of him? That would have been silly. Not a breeze blew, not a stem or a leaf was moving, everything was still, frozen, like the time had stopped. Yvi wasn't even sure himself what, ore who, he was looking for. There had been problems in the human's world, th water had ran dry from some lake and rivers, for no apparent reason, and of course after seing that science was not working, everyone decided to ask him for help, who was he to refuse to answer to such a request? The magician looked around himself another time, even if he had wanted to infringe upon his magician's pride and ask for help or directions, no one seemed to be around to answer. His past lives' spirits had told him to connect a little deeper with that world to know it as if it had been created by him, but as a side effect he had had to let go of everything material and mondanous, and so he had refused: he could not bare the though of abbandoning his beloved daughter and wife, just to connect deeper with a world he did not even want to visit, let alone live in. The man mentally punched whoever decided to make this wonderfoul prank to both worlds, this had to be a child, who else could have done such an immature thing; but things did not add up: the water spirit should have been one of the most powerful spirits in that world, how could have, a child, captured him? Maybe who did that was not child, then why... what could have been his or her motivation? Taking over the world? The why not announcing that they had the water's spirit in their hands, and order everyone to surrender to have the water back. Yvi could not find an answer, but he decided he had to go somewhere to start, or else he would have never succeded. He complitely ignored his bad feelings and decided to go for the deep dark forest first, just to cross out the worst option first.
