the Lantern Festival Today is the Lantern Festival. I have been looking forward to it but I feel rather sad after watching the Lantern show. Sometimes you have high expectation but are disappointed at the end. Sometimes you are not able to be happy during the your favorite festival.That is life. I love the famous poem about the Lantern Festival "青玉案·元夕", especially the last line "众里寻他千百度，蓦然回首，那人却在灯火阑珊处". But I don't know how to translate it into English.

The Lantern Festival

Today is the Lantern Festival. I have been looking forward to it but I felt rather sad after watching the Lantern show.
Sometimes you have high expectations but are disappointed in the end (you can also say, "... but end up being disappointed."). Sometimes you are not able to be happy during the your favorite festival ("the" would be correct if it were followed by "festival". "Sometimes you are not able to be happy during the festival"). That is life.

I love the famous poem about the Lantern Festival "青玉案·元夕", especially the last line "众里寻他千百度，蓦然回首，那人却在灯火阑珊处". But I don't know how to translate it to English.

"众里寻他千百度，蓦然回首，那人却在灯火阑珊处" = "Looking for him in the crowd, suddenly I look back, that man is in a dim light." It's loosely translated.
