Adding onto what Cherry said, are can be "es," sometimes, as well. If you use it with tu, it's es, but if you use it with nous (we), then it's sommes. Also, keep in mind that French has two versions of you. Tu is the familiar one; you use it with friends, people your age, family, etc. Vous is unfamiliar; it's for strangers and elders predominantly. "Vous êtes" is you are for vous. "Tu es" is the familiar version. Quoi is typically used alone. Ex. A: Je m'appelle Sami. (My name is Sami.) B: Quoi? (What?) However, if you're asking "What is...," then the question starts with "Qu'est-ce que..." So, "What is this game?" is "Qu'est-ce que ce jeu?" Lastly, French has feminine and masculine words. Don't think of this in terms of masculine is used with men; feminine is used with women - that's a common misconception for new learners who've never before used this concept. Whether something is masculine or feminine doesn't necessarily have to do with what it is - it's just something you memorize. That being said, masculine words use "son" for his or her. Feminine words use "sa." If the word is plural, "ses" is used. It's never in regard to who uses it, so saying "son" means his and "sa" means hers is completely incorrect. His and her are the same; it's the item that changes the possessive. Ex. Son coeur - his/her heart. (le coeur - masculine) Sa lampe - his/her lamp (la lamp - feminine) Ses chats - his/her cats (les chats - plural) So sometimes just asking for words messes up translations, lol =P Hope this helped!
