Personally I believe both are equally important. To have reciprocating love is... amazing. But if you love someone, or someone loves you without it being returned, it really, really hurts. It all depends on who u meet. If u are lucky enough to meet the one you admired, u would be reluctanct to do everything for him/her. What's more if the loved one, loves u in return, than you have the perfect relationship. On the contrary, Maybe u can not control yourself to stop to love the Mr.right, even though him/her does not attracted by u. Thus, u will be satisfied to love someone.

I think to love..it's more important to give , than to receive . I, myself, always loved people..but I never..(almost) asked something back.. never... When you love someone..even your mother... your heart is filled with goodness... and these days we are supposed to be better persons , right? There's too much coldness in our hearts
