don't you dare hang up on me? < does this sentence have something wrong with it? Plus, when we use "Don't you dare...", is it a statement or a question? Could you explain a little bit more how to use it?

It's a statement, not a question. It's actually kind of an order: "Don't you dare hang up on me!", so an exclamation mark would be optional, but a question mark is not appropriate here.

It is a statement. And usually an angry one.

It's a threat!

It's correct. You use it when you think somebody will hang up on you (on the telephone).
